Brock Alexander Trotter (born January 16 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently a non-restricted free agent. He was lastly contracted to Dornbirner EC of the EBEL Austrian Hockey League. He played in two games of the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens during the 2009-10 season.
After missing two seasons due to injuries, Trotter opted to make an appearance in professional hockey after sign a trial agreement for Croatian KHL Medvescak Zagreb. KHL Medvescak Zagreb in the KHL on the 24th of June 2014.
Before opening the 2017–18 season, Trotter was released from joining Ingolstadt, opting to return to North America and secure an opening night roster spot on a professional try-out with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL on October 6, 2017. He recorded 1 assist in 4 games before he was later released by the Wolves on October 25, 2017. He later joined the Stavanger Oilers of the GET-ligaen however failed to make an appearance for the club before returning for a second stint with IF Björklöven on February 15, 2018.
In 2018-19, Trotter posted 55 points in 42 games for Dornbirner EC in the Austrian Hockey League.
On July 4, 2011, Trotter signed a one-year contract, two-way agreement to sign to the Canadiens. The return of Trotter to Montreal was only temporary when on the 23rd of October the 23rd of October, 2011, he was sold with the Phoenix Coyotes along with a seventh-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for forward Petteri Nokelainen as well as defenceman Garrett Stafford. The team was later placed with the Coyotes’ AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates. Trotter was assigned to his third team during the 2011-12 season. During that time, his assignment was changed by the Coyotes as part of an AHL deal to trade goalie Peter Mannino and Kenndal McArdle to the St. John’s IceCaps on March 2, 2012.

The 15th of April in 2008 it was announced that he would be recalled by The Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. He was scheduled to take part in his debut NHL hockey game in April 19th, 2008 with the Boston Bruins but was a late scratch. The 2009-10 season began on February 5, 2010, Brock was once again called up from Hamilton Bulldogs to Montreal. He was able to make the NHL debut in February 6th, 2010, in a match against Pittsburgh Penguins Pittsburgh Penguins in a 5-3 win. In the same team with his old Bulldogs teammates Ryan White and David Desharnais, Trotter went scoreless in two games before returning to the Bulldogs to lead the team with 36 goals. They also rank second behind Desharnais by 77 points.
On the 28th of July the 28th of July, 2010 Trotter was released from the Canadiens organization as well as North America to sign a two-year deal as a non-free agent with Latvian squad Dinamo Riga of the KHL.
During the 2015–16 off season Trotter attended training camp with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. On October 16, 2015, Trotter signed a one-year contract with Swedish club IF Björklöven of the second-tier league Hockeyallsvenskan. He spent the 2016–17 season playing in Finland’s top-flight Liiga (SaiPa, Oulun Kärpät), before signing with ERC Ingolstadt of the German Deutsche Eishockey Liga in July 2017.
