Brendan McKibbin (born 19 September 1985) is a professional union footballer. He is a player in the club London Irish in the Aviva Premiership. He has previously played for the Waratahs as well as also the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby. The position he plays in most of the time is scrum-half.

The next season, McKibbin recorded 223 points with Brothers to become the leading points-scoring player during Queensland Premier Rugby for the regular season of 2008. The total included 8 tries, 47 conversions and 27 penalties. Brothers were a narrow loser in the final against Easts the year before, however McKibbin received his first Alec Evans Medal for Premier Player of the Year.

McKibbin moved to Sydney at the end of that year, to take up an opportunity with the Junior Waratahs. He joined the Eastern Suburbs club to play in the Shute Shield competition, and won the 2010 Ken Catchpole Medal for the most outstanding player in Sydney club rugby.

He played limited minutes in Super Rugby for the Waratahs in 2011, but became the team’s first choice halfback and goalkicker in 2012. McKibbin was called up to the Wallabies’ squad for the last Test match of the year in 2012, being named on the bench for the final match of the Spring Tour, against Wales in Cardiff.

2007 was the year he was a player in 2007 for his team the Ballymore Tornadoes in the Australian Rugby Championship playing in four matches throughout the tournament.

When he finished his last season in Ashgrove at the end of 2002, McKibbin received a call to represent Queensland in the Australian Schools Rugby Championships. McKibbin played flanker open-side at the schoolboy level and was a player for under-19s and then switched to scrum-half to play in senior rugby.
