Bree Sharp (born December 17 1975) is an American musician and singer who is inspired by pop, rock and folk. In the decade of 2010 she is the main singer of electropop group Beautiful Small Machines.

Sharp began her career in 2005. Sharp started her career as an author on Ojamajo Doremi, dubbed in English as Magical DoReMi. She also composed to the track “This Side of Paradise” to the version that was dubbed English version Pokemon The Destiny Deoxys along with “Team Up!” as the theme song that opens the show for the Dubbed English edition of Tokyo Mew Mew, also called Mew Mew Power. She also sang a majority of the songs in Mew Mew Power. She also wrote the song “Where the Girls Are” in the 4Kids Entertainment edit of Winx Club.

In July 2007, Sharp starred as Leila in Vassar College’s Powerhouse Summer Theater workshop production of Pete Townshend’s The Boy Who Heard Music.

Following the Robots in Love EP and the single “Simple Joys (4 Roy & Pris),” both released in 2009, Beautiful Small Machines in 2012 released a music video for the song Paper Planes. Their next album entitled The DJ Stayed Home was released in 2014.

Bree Sharp was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and learned how to play guitar when she was fifteen. When she was 17, she relocated from Philadelphia to New York City to study theater at New York University. After graduation, she was back in the music industry and in the course of her college studies began writing songs that would lead to her 1998 contract for Trauma Recordings. On July 29, 1999, the singer-songwriter debuted her debut album entitled The cheap and Evil Girl. The album’s opening track, “David Duchovny”, gained a cult-like following because of its musical quality and the humorous references to the actor who played the title. Will Shivers and Charles Forsch who were producers and production assistants for The X-Files, produced a video for “David Duchovny” featuring several stars singing the song. The video became a hit online on the Internet and widely circulated within the fandom’s underground. The lyrics of the song were used in the David Duchovny’s upcoming Showtime Network TV series, Californication which aired in the year 2011.

As of 2001, Sharp was forced to leave Trauma Records in 2001, which at the very the very least, one journalist blamed on the poor management of the company.

On August 2, 2007, Sharp announced on her MySpace blog that the mixing of her long-delayed third studio album, Robots in Love, was all but complete, and posted four of the new songs (“EastSide,” “So Long 2 U,” “In the Name of Revenge,” and “Robots in Love”) on her MySpace music player. In January 2008, she added two more new songs (“Counting Back to 1” and “The Wretched Sound of City Cars”) to the player. Sharp ultimately opted to release the new material not as a solo album but through Beautiful Small Machines, a band comprising herself and longtime collaborator Don DiLego.
