Wallis has won notable fights against Jorgen Kruth (twice), Carter Williams, Alexander Ustinov, and Errol Zimmerman.
After several years away from the K-1 fight circuit, Brecht Wallis made a comeback on May 4th, 2007 at the K-1 Fighting Network GP 2007 in Romania by winning the event against Doug Viney, Errol Zimmerman and Paula Mataele and he qualified for the K-1 World GP 2007. The event will be held in Amsterdam.
On February 14, 2004 Brecht took home his very first K-1 competition held in Stockholm, Sweden qualifying for K-1 World GP 2004 at Las Vegas II. In the quarterfinals, Brecht was up against a heavy favorite, American Carter Williams, Wallis took the win with a an impressive high kick in round 3. The final opponent was Jorgen Kruth. After a close, evenly fought contest Brecht Wallis was declared as the winner in a unanimous vote and proceeded to the finals of the tournament against American Mighty Mo where he lost his first match with a devastating KO the second round.

Brecht Wallis began practicing judo when he was 12 years old and then a few years later, he switched towards Muay Thai. In 2001, he relocated back to Netherlands to pursue a profession at Siam Gym under trainer Miki Benazzouz.
The fighter made his K-1 debut on the scene in 2003 at the K-1 Holland GP in Zoetermeer and won the fight against Swedish boxer Jorgen Kruth with an extra- round majority decision.
