Fuller was raised in Toronto to a real estate lawyer and elementary school teacher. Fuller graduated at Jarvis Collegiate Institute in 1974 and then attended the University of Toronto, where she received an B.A. in 1977.
The year was 1978 and Fuller became a style reporter for The Toronto Star. The following year she was appointed a sportswear editor at Women’s Wear Daily. Her first Editor-in Chief position at Canadian national magazine for fashion Flare for 3 years from 1983 until 1986, in which she then moved into YM publication as editor-in-chief. Then, in 1994 she was appointed Editor-in Chief and started an American magazine version Marie Claire magazine. Fuller was Editor-in-Chief at Us Weekly and redesigned the title to create the contemporary celebrity newsweekly. She designed signature sections such like “Stars Are Just Like Us,” “The Buzzometer,” and “Who Wore It Best.”
In July 2009 she was hired by Jay Penske to relaunch HollywoodLife.com, a celebrity news site. Bonnie Fuller is currently President and Editor-in-Chief of HollywoodLife.com and a PMC Senior Advisor. Bonnie also hosts a HollywoodLife weekly podcast available to download via iTunes.
