Robert James “Bobby” Livingston (born September 3 1982 at St Louis, Missouri) is an ex-professional ball player that played Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds.

He was later assigned for Pittsburgh Pirates Pittsburgh Pirates by the Cleveland Indians in an arrangement conditional to signing on September 1st, 2009. While with the Pirates they made just one appearance as a member of his team, the AAA Indianapolis Indians.

He became a free agent at the end of the 2008 season and signed a minor league contract in January 2009 with the Baltimore Orioles. He pitched in 13 games for the AA Bowie Baysox and 3 for the AAA Norfolk Tides. On July 3, 2009, he was released by Baltimore.

On August 16, 2010, Livingston signed a minor-league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays and was assigned to the AAA Durham Bulls. He pitched 5 games for the Bulls.

When he was released in the month of December, Livingston was placed on waivers and was claimed as a player by his team, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, who promptly traded his services to Philadelphia Phillies. MLB intervened to declare the trade as null and unenforceable in the sense that they believed Tampa Bay had claimed Livingston to fulfill the sole purpose to trade him. He was then relegated to waivers, and then accepted from the Cincinnati Reds. He played in 10-games as the starter for the Reds in 2007. He was part of a team that went 3-3 and an 5.27 ERA. His first victory of his career was on June 1st in a game against The Colorado Rockies. On the 16th of July 2007 Livingston recorded a 4-4 mark with an RBI setting with the record set by his team for the most hits by a pitcher in the course of a game. Livingston spent the majority of 2007 and 2008 in AAA as part of his team, the Louisville Bats.

Livingston was initially enrolled in Estacado High School before transferring to Trinity Christian High School in Lubbock, Texas for his final year in school. He was a part of the 2001 season when he was a pitcher in The Bethesda Big Train. He was originally signed to play for the college team of the local Texas Tech Red Raiders before the team was selected.

Livingston was chosen by Seattle Mariners in the 4th round (129th overall) of the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft. He was in the minors for the Mariners from 2005 to 2006, as well as two seasons playing for the AAA Tacoma Rainiers in 2005-2006. The Mariners made him Major League debut for the Mariners on April 25, 2006, against The Chicago White Sox. The pitcher pitched 1.2 innings with 5 hits 4 runs, walking 3 , and striking out one. He played in a total of three games during the season in Seattle and pitched for a total of 5 innings.

He then signed a minor league deal with the Cleveland Indians, where he pitched in nine games for the AA Akron Aeros and 1 for the AAA Columbus Clippers. He was then sent to the Pittsburgh Pirates from Cleveland on September 1, 2009 as part of a conditional deal.
