She currently plays with the Brampton Thunder in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) and played during the 2010 Clarkson Cup. In the 2010-11 season, she was a part of the Strathmore Rockies of the WWHL. She was picked 9th overall by Team Alberta CWHL in the 2011 CWHL Draft.
Slusar was the winner of two NCAA championships for The Wisconsin Badgers women’s ice hockey program in 2006 and in 2007. Slusar was also the Badgers captain of the team during the 2006-07 season.

Slusar was a member of Team Western in 2000. In the next season, Slusar won a medal in the team Team West at the 2001 National Women’s Under 18 challenge. She also was a part of helping Notre Dame win the provincial Midget AAA championship. The same time, Slusar participated with Saskatchewan at the 2002 Esso Women’s Nationals finishing fifth. The team was crowned the Western Shield Championship in 2002 and Slusar was the captain of the team in 2003.
Slusar was a member of Team Canada on numerous occasions. She was a part of the Canadian National Under 22 team and was a participant during the Air Canada Cup every year from 2003 to 2007. In November of 2006 she was a part of Team Canada in the 4 Nations Cup. This was her debut international tournament as part of Team Canada. Canadian National Women’s Team. She was picked to represent Canada in the 2010 Four Nations Cup.
