She established an organization for community members located in California known as”the Pars Equality Center where she along with other members of the center aid Iranian immigrants who reside throughout California in the United States.

Daryabari is the founder of the Unique Zan Foundation, a social service organization that works with academic institutions and organizations for women in the Middle East. In 2016, UC Berkeley announced the Presidential Chair in Iranian Studies after her name.

Daryabari has received many accolades and acknowledgements for her efforts, including Golden Gate University’s alumni of the year Award in 2008. In 2010, she was named Philanthropists of the year by PAAIA In 2011, Daryabari, she was awarded the United Nations Appreciation Award. Other honors include being the winner of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2012 as well as being named as a World Affairs Council Honoree of the Year in the year 2015. In 2018, she was awarded the honorary degree of doctoral from Golden Gate University.
