Benjamin Siegrist is one of the most popular and richest Swiss footballer who was born on January 31, 1992 in Therwil, Basel- Landschaft, Switzerland. Benjamin Kevin Siegrist (born 31 January 1992) is a Swiss professional footballer who is a part of the Scottish Championship for Dundee United as goalkeeper. He was part of the Switzerland team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and then went on to play for his country in Swiss Under-21s. As of 2009 Siegrist made up the nation’s FIFA U-17 World Cup winning team. He also won the first Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper. In the span of seven years at Aston Villa Academy, Aston Villa Academy Siegrist undertook an array of loans for short periods for English Football League and Conference teams. After a stint with Vaduz in the Swiss Super League with Vaduz, Siegrist signed for Scottish club Dundee United in 2018.

Siegrist has joined Football League Two side Burton Albion on an initial loan of one month on the 28th of November, 2013. He was handed his number-one shirt, and included as a substitute for Albion’s game against Plymouth Argyle on 30 November 2013. He didn’t make an appearance due to the condition that was displayed by Dean Lyness, and returned to Aston Villa after one month.

Siegrist joined Solihull Moors of the National League North on a one-month emergency loan on 8 October 2015 having recovered from a serious leg injury in May 2015. He played in the FA Cup third qualifying round for Solihull against Worcester City, the Moors forced a replay with a 1–1 draw in the first match but lost 1-0 in the replay, despite a string of fine saves from Siegrist. Siegrist made his league debut in a 1–1 draw away to Tamworth on 17 October

Following a loan extension until March 2016 his good form continued as Moors moved clear at the top of the league in January 2016, they went on to win the league a few weeks after Siegrist’s departure.

Siegrist signed for Vaduz in the Swiss Super League in the Summer 2016 transfer window for a fee of £210,000.

Siegrist was born in Therwil. He was seen playing for the local club FC Therwil Siegrist continued his playing career as a teenager at FC Basel in his native Switzerland and, during his time there he also won the Swiss U-16 cup and league double in 2008. When he joined the Swiss U-16 league in Jan. 2009 shortly ahead of the 17th birthday of his son He signed for Aston Villa of the Premier League. He was a part of the reserve and academy squads in July of 2010, and then in July the club teamed up with Tamworth, a local club. On 26 March 2014 Siegrist made his professional debut in a 3–0 win away to Salisbury City. Siegrist played three matches for Cambridge conceding only one goal and helping the club to a second-place league finish and ultimately the 2014 Conference Premier play-off Final, before a groin injury ended his spell at the club.
