Belinda Meuldijk (born 7 January 1955) is an Dutch actress activist, writer, and actress. She has appeared in Dutch TV shows and films as well as being a songwriter. She began performing at the age of 6 in her first Pipo de Clown television show which was created through her dad, Wim Meuldijk. Later she was the driving force for the 2003 film Pipo and the p-p-Parelridder. In addition, she composed and produced the music for the musical Pipo in de Gestolen Stem.

Later on, Meuldijk carried on the legacy of her father and played a key role in the making of a film called Pipo and the p-p-Parelridder which debuted in 2003. She was also involved in the production of the 2009 musical starring Pipo, Pipo en de Gestolen Stem and for which she wrote the lyrics.

From 1984 to 2005 , she got married in the year 1984 with Dutch musician Rob de Nijs, for whom she wrote a range song lyrics (including the song that became a hit in 1996 “Banger Hart”). The couple had two children but they were living in separate households since 1993. Up until 2009, when her expulsion was issued by a judge to leavethe house, Meuldijk resided in the same house she as well as Nijs Nijs were living in together.

Belinda Meuldijk is the daughter of Wim Meuldijk who was the creator of the TV series Pipo de Clown, which was broadcast on Dutch broadcasting from 1958 until the year 1980. She grew up in the shadow of the show’s cameras, as well as other equipment were kept in her room, and her father constructed their sets in their home and the shows were often recorded on their back yard. “Pipo is in my blood,” she said.

Meuldijk’s debut on screen was in the film Pipo de Clown, at age 6. In 1975 she played the role of Uni as part of Pipo’s Pipo TV series Pipo en the Grachtengeheim. She was a small part in Wim T. Schippers’ film Volk en Vaderliefde (1976) which was followed by her major breakthrough in the 1977 Paul Verhoeven film Soldier of Orange. She was in a number of additional TV shows and films including, yet again the Pipo show (Pipo in West-Best in 1980) and the soap drama Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden. In addition, she was the character in the role of one bride to Dracula as part of The BBC TV film “Count Dracula” (1977) directed by Philip Saville and starring by Louis Jourdan.

Meuldijk is also an activist for the rights of animals and is involved with animal rights organizations, though she has also been criticized for promoting the import of stray animals from outside the country. In 2006, she was a lijstduwer for the Party for the Animals.
