Bangjong’s debut feature film, Shutter, was co-directed by him and co-written by Parkpoom Wongpoom. It was a ghost story based on images on photographs, and an unsettling photographer (portrayed by Ananda Everingham) The film was the largest box-office film in Thailand in that year. It also enjoyed a cult success across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Brazil. Shutter was later remade in three different languages as well as the 2008 Hollywood movie Shutter.
They reunited in 2007 to create Alone The film was also an immediate box- office hit. It was also shown at a variety of film festivals which included that of the Bangkok International Film Festival, where it was a finalist to win the title of Best ASEAN Film. Alone was remade in two different languages.
