She was back in the 8s squad in 2007,, rowing to two third places at the World Cup in Linz and Luzern and also the first position at the World Cup in Amsterdam together with Jacobine Veenhoven Smulders, Hurnet Dekkers, Van Rumpt, Roline Repelaer van Driel Sarah Siegelaar, Dekker and Workel. At the World Championships in Munich the team did not make it to the A-final , and were forced to settle for the 7th place overall. The year 2008 the team attempted to make it into an appearance at the 2008 Summer Olympics as well., at the inaugural World Cup in Munich Veenhoven was replaced by Nienke Dekkers, while Hurnet Dekkers was substituted by Nienke Kingma. They ended up in fourth place. Helen Tanger replaced Nienke Dekkers at the second World Cup held in Luzern and a fourth place was obtained. This also meant that Olympic qualifying was completed. In the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, the Dutch team of de Haan won the silver medal.

De Haan began rowing in 1999, and was the first woman to represent her country during 1999’s Junior World Championships in Plovdiv. Along together with Melina Bus Anja Mourik, and Mirthe Kamp, she was awarded an Olympic bronze. The next few years De Haan was not that efficient in her rowing However, she was back for the 2002 World Under-23 Games in Genoa as a double-sculls rower alongside Sarah Siegelaar, here they made it to fifth place. In the year following, in Belgrade she joined the fours boat along with Kamp Susan van Kuijeren and Mette Beugelsdijk, who took home another fifth place in the World Championships. Since 2004, she has been competing on the Rowing World Cup circuit on senior levels and she raced to a fourth place in the fours alongside Marlies Smulders Froukje Wegman, and Hurnet Dekkers. Later that year, she participated in the Dutch eights, which finished in fourth in the World Cup in Munich, they qualified for the 2004 Summer Olympics and took home the bronze medal. The team existed of De Haan, Froukje Wegman, Marlies Smulders, Nienke Hommes, Hurnet Dekkers, Annemarieke van Rumpt, Sarah Siegelaar, Helen Tanger and cox Ester Workel.

In 2005, it was time to launch the brand new Dutch eights program. The group comprised consisted of De Haan, Sanne Beukers, Nienke Hommes, Hurnet Dekkers, Annemarieke van Rumpt, Laura Posthuma, Femke Dekker, Helen Tanger and Ester Workel managed to row up to the second place in the World Cup meeting in Munich right away. With Marlies Smulders in place of Hommes they landed in the same position in Luzern. Mendes was back in the team instead of Smulders to compete in this year’s World Championships, while Beukers was substituted with Nienke Dekkers. The team fell one position and was awarded Bronze medal. The year 2006 was the most successful for De Haan. De Haan remained in the eights, and they took fifth place in the World Championships in Eton. Alongside Van Rumpt, she also managed to secure a third place at Luzern in the World Cup in Luzern.
