Angelica Cob-Baehler is one of the most popular and richest Music Executive who was born on November 9, 1971 in Costa Rica. Cob- Baehler was a native of San Jose, Costa Rica in 1971. She then relocated with her family to Burbank, California, in 1981. She went to UCLA and earned an education from the department of Political Science in 1993.

Perry’s album had not been released by Columbia the label, Cob-Baehler started an effort to get her into Capitol Music Group in 2005. She received the backing by Jason Flom, then the chief executive officer of the label, which led to her signing with Capitol Music Group. Perry became a member of Capitol/Virgin in the year 2006. Cob-Baehler was recognized for her A&R and creative direction on the Perry album One of the Boys, which sold more than 5,000,000 albums around the world. She was also the creative director of Perry’s Teenage Dream. Cob-Baehler worked closely with Perry until she left EMI in 2011, to become the executive vice president of sales and marketing for Epic Records.

Cob-Baehler appeared on Billboard’s 2011 list of prominent women in music. She co-produced the 2017 20-episode season of Hip Hop Squares. She served on the board of directors for Generosity Water, the Thirst Project and MusiCares.

In addition to heading marketing at Epic, Cob-Baehler served in an a&r capacity, and notably signed the controversial hip hop band Death Grips, who were named Spin magazine’s “Artist of the Year” in 2012.

At Columbia Cob-Baehler, she was in charge of the company’s West Coast press department while working with John Mayer, System of a Down, The Offspring, Coheed and Cambria, as well as the Raveonettes and the Raveonettes, among others. She was appointed vice president of Publicity in 2002. Soon after, she got to know seventeen-year old Katy Perry, who had not yet released an album for the label and she became one of her first supporters.

Angelica Cob-Baehler (November 9, 1971 until November 21 2018,) was an Costa Rican American music industry executive and TV producer. The head of operations for music within The Firm, and the chief marketing officer of The Basketball League Big 3 She also held top positions in Columbia Records, EMI and Epic.

Cob-Baehler was an intern for Elektra Records during her senior year in college. She was appointed as an associate in the department of publicity of Atlantic Records in 1993. Her promotion came shortly after and became a publicist for the label, was working with artists such as Kid Rock, Sugar Ray, P.O.D., Jewel as well as Stone Temple Pilots. In 1997 she became the the position of national Director of Media Relations and was transferred to Atlantic’s Los Angeles office to their New York headquarters. The company was closed in 2001, and accepted the position with Columbia Records.

In 2005, Cob-Baehler was named senior vice president of publicity at Virgin Records. At Virgin, she was responsible for press campaigns for artists including Thirty Seconds to Mars, Joss Stone, KT Tunstall, and Iggy Pop and the Stooges. When the Virgin label was merged with Capitol/EMI, she was appointed to the position of senior vice president of media and creative services for EMI Music’s associated labels: Angel, Astralwerks, Blue Note, Capitol, Capitol Latin, Manhattan, and Virgin.
