Ajay Kumar Tripathi is one of the most popular and richest Judge who was born on November 12, 1957 in India, India.
Tripathi graduated in Economics with Hons. from Shri Ram College of Commerce and studied law from Delhi University. He started practice in 1981 at Patna High Court on service matter, Constitutional, Taxation, Excise and commercial litigations. Tripathi was the Standing Counsel for the Union of India and the Income Tax Department. He also appeared on behalf of the CBI and the Auditor and Comptroller General of India. He served as an Additional Advocate General for the State of Bihar. On 9 October 2006 he was elevated as an Additional Judge of Patna High Court. Justice Tripathi became the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court on 7 July 2018. On 23 March 2019 he was appointed as the Judicial Member of Lokpal.
In 2020 he contracted COVID-19 and was placed on a ventilator in critical condition. He died on 2 May 2020 due to COVID-19.
