Zheng Bin Biography

Zheng Bin is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on July 4, 1977 in Wuhan, People's Republic of China. Zheng Bin (simplified Chinese Zheng Bin; traditional Chinese Zheng Bin; pinyin Zheng Bin; born July 4, 1977), is a Chinese football coach. He was a former intern who played as a Striker or Left Midfielder.

He was a player for Shenzhen Jianlibao and Wuhan Huanghelou, while internationally he was a member of the Chinese national team which participated in the 2004 AFC Asian Cup. After retiring, he moved into management and was appointed Head coach at Wuhan Zall.

Without a club Zheng Bin would return to Shenzhen Jianlibao (who had renamed themselves Shenzhen Shangqingyin) at the beginning of the 2009 league season. While he was not an immediate first choice player at the start of the season, once he was given his chance to play he would quickly show his experience within the team and would quickly become a regular within the team.

At 2010 season, the new Wuhan club Hubei Oriental had successfully promotion to China League One. Zheng returned to Wuhan again and joined the team to play the new season.

He would continue to be with Wuhan during their efforts to return to the top- tier, until Shenzhen Jianlibao Head coach Zhu Guanghu became interested in him. Zheng Bin would join Shenzhen Jianlibao in the 2003 league season. He would soon be a success in the team, having quickly established himself in the team during his first season. The team won the 2004 Chinese Super League title in his second season.

Zheng Bin, like all promising young Chinese football players, would be quickly included in the Chinese Jianlibao Youth Football Team’s short-lived Chinese national youth soccer team program. He was there to learn about international football in a Jianlibao sponsored training programme. He would then return to his hometown to begin his professional football career, after completing the Jianlibao Youth Team. He would play six games during his debut season. He would go on to play in most of Wuhan’s games during the 1999 league season, which saw the team being relegated.

Zheng Bin was included in the Chinese team and would make his debut against Costa Rica in a friendly on September 7, 2003, in which he lost 2-0. He would become a regular in the team despite the defeat. His versatility as a midfielder would also see him included in the 2004 AFC Asian Cup squad that finished runners-up. He would play in many FIFA World Cup qualifiers as well as the 2007 AFC Asian Cup. However, he would soon lose favor with the team.

Despite just winning the league title with Shenzhen Jianlibao the club had many financial difficulties and when his previous club just having won promotion and offering 3,500,000 RMB for the return of his services Zheng Bin would immediately rejoin them. Once again this turned out to be a successful transfer for him when he once again settled straight away within the team and this time go on to win the 2005 Chinese Super League Cup. He would soon go on to captain the team until the club controversially disbanded for what they believed was unfair punishment by the Chinese Football Association after the club’s management did not accept the punishment given to them by the Chinese Football Association after a scuffle broke out during a league game against Beijing Guoan on September 27, 2008.
