Zaldy Realubit, a Filipino former professional basketball player, is the Chief Operating Officer for the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. He was also the Pilipinas Aguilas’ head coach.
Realubit was exchanged to the Tanduay Rhum Masters for two second-round picks during the 2000 Governors Cup.
Realubit hails from Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. He completed his high school at the Northwestern Agusan College but it was at the University of San Jose–Recoletos where he got hooked into basketball under coach Yayoy Alcoseba. Realubit went on to play for Mama’s Love in the Philippine Basketball League (PABL) from 1984-1985 and RFM-Swifts in his final two years in the amateur league and has blossomed into a fine center.
Realubit first ventured into coaching after he was selected to coach the Pacquiao Powervit Pilipinas Aguilas that would compete in the 2015–16 ABL season. Unfortunately, his stint with the team did not last long, after he resigned just barely two weeks after the season started. He said internal problems, like unpaid wages and player treatment, within the team led to his resignation.
Presto was disbanded at the close of 1992 PBA season and he relocated to Sta. Lucia Realtors, but was traded with Vergel Meneses and Swift at the next conference. Realubit won three championships and played there for six years. His time with Swift was very successful.

Realubit was first a member of the national team’s 1986 team, where he was under coach Joe Lipa. Realubit made it to the RP youth squad in 1987, where they placed second to China at the ABC Youth championships in Manila. He also played sooner with the Philippine men’s national team the same year. Realubit was also a member of the Philippine team at the 1990 Asian Games. They won the silver medal after China.
Realubit became a professional in 1989, when he was selected by Presto Ice Cream as the 3rd overall pick. Realubit played a crucial role in the franchise’s sixth and final championship at the 1990 PBA All-Filipino Conference Conference Finals. He was able to replace Jerry Codinera by securing a spot on the Philippine all-pro team for the 1990 Asian Games.
After leaving FedEx,he signed with the Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs for the 2004–05 season. He played 14 games for the franchise, and retired thereafter.
