Yoshinari Ogawa is one of the most popular and richest Professional Wrestler who was born on November 2, 1966 in Toride, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Yoshinari Ogawa, also known as Xiao Chuan Liang Cheng, Ogawa Yoshinari (born November 2, 1966), is a Japanese professional wrestler. He currently works for Pro Wrestling Noah. His ingenious, clever and quick pins earned him the nickname “Rat Boy”.
They entered the 2014 NTV G+ Junior Tag League, finishing last in their four- team block with just four points. Ogawa, Sabre and Taka Michinoku were awarded a title match at Great Voyage in Yokohama on May 10, 2015. The match was a loss for the team. Ogawa participated in the Global Junior Heavyweight League in 2015, his first singles tournament since 2008. Ogawa was fifth in the block with six points. He also won over Hitoshi Kumano and Sho Tanaka. Ogawa and Sabre participated in the third consecutive NTV G+ Junior Tag League. They finished second, losing again to Michinoku and Desperado, who were the eventual block winners. This was their last match together. Ogawa’s six-man team of Hitoshi Kumano, Muhammad Yone and Muhammad Yone beat Sabre’s team consisting of Genba Hirayanagi & Captain Noah. Ogawa won the match over Sabre.
In 2019, He later won the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship with Kotaro Suzuki and formed a stable named Stinger later joined by Atsushi Kotoge and Chris Ridgeway.
In 4th January 2020 Ogawa defeated Hayata to became GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship for first time in his career, thereby completing his win of NOAH’s four major GHC titles and becoming the fourth man to do so after Naomichi Marufuji, KENTA and Takashi Sugiura.
Ogawa was a major in the junior heavyweight division. He formed a partnership in 2013 with Zack Sabre Jr., and the pair took part in NTV G+ Cup Junior Heavyweight Tag League to win the vacant GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. On the last day, they lost to Jyushin Thunder Tiger Liger and Tiger Mask IV who were eventual block and league champions. The team beat Liger and Tiger Mask at ‘Great Voyage in Tokyo Volume. 2’ to become tag team champions. They defeated Kenoh Ohara and Hajime Omara at the ‘Great Voyage to Tokyo’ show on March 8, 2014. This was their first defense of their titles. The title was lost to Taiji Ishimori and Atsushi Kotoge on March 21st 2014. Ogawa and Sabre were crowned two-time champions less then a month later when they defeated Kotoge, Ishimori and took the championships. Ogawa, Sabre and Hiro Tonai lost their defenses against Shiori Asahi and Shiori Asahi on May 3rd. Ogawa and Sabre then lost the title to Kotoge at ‘Great Voyage In Tokyo Vol.2’.

Yoshinari Ogawa made his debut in All Japan Pro Wrestling 1985. He was on the undercard and then joined Genichiro Tenryu’s Revolution group, which allowed him to rise higher on the card. After Tenryu’s sudden departure from AJPW in 1990, he remained with the group until its dissolution in 1990.
Tenryu’s departure made Ogawa one of the most prominent stars in AJPW’s junior-heavyweight division. He won the junior heavyweight championship three more times. Mitsuharu Misawa, his mentor, was also Ogawa’s tag team champion. Ogawa left AJPW to join Misawa’s new Pro Wrestling Noah in 2001. There he continued his tag-team with Misawa and won the GHC Tag Team Championship. He defeated Scorpio and Vader and held the title for nine days, before being beaten by Takao Omori (and Yoshihiro Takayama). He defeated Jun Akiyama quickly to become the GHC heavyweight champion on April 7, 2002. Ogawa held the title for 53 days. He defended his title twice against Takeshi Rikio and Akira Taue before finally losing it to Takayama, September 7, 2002. Ogawa and Misawa won again the GHC Tag Team Championship on January 10, 2004. They defeated Hiroshi Takaashi and Yuji Nagata during the Great Voyage 2004 event. They held the title for 379 days and defended the belts seven times. This was another record. The championships were lost to Doug Williams and Scorpio on January 23, 2005.
Ogawa, alongside several Noah company-mates, took part in the first two New Japan Pro-Wrestling ‘Lion’s Gate Project’ shows where he defeated Jay White on the first show on February 25, 2016, then defeated David Finlay on the second show which took place on May 19. Ogawa took part in the qualifying for the 2016 Super J-Cup defeating Hitoshi Kumano in his first qualifier but losing to Taiji Ishimori in the final of his qualifying region.
