Yonit Levi, Israel Television News Company’s chief news anchor, is currently the main news anchor for the flagship bulletin simulcasts on Keshet 12 & Reshet 13. The bulletins were broadcast by Israel Television News Company from Channel 2 to October 2017. Levi joined Israel Television News Company after she completed her army service in the foreign news editor position at Army Radio (Galei Tzahal IDF Radio), and Levi was promoted to chief news anchor in 1998. The former anchors Ya’akov Haimovich and Miki Haimovich were transferred to Channel 10 in 2002. Levi was then appointed as the anchor for Channel 2’s prime-time news program at 25. After her co-anchor quit, she was appointed as the sole anchor of a prime-time newscast commercial channel. She was also the channel’s international field reporter, covering stories such as the U.S. election and the Japan tsunami. The prime time news program on Channel 2 was the most watched daily Israeli program.
In 2015 Levi gave an unusual interview to Charlie Rose, an American journalist at PBS. He shared his personal views on Israeli current affairs.
