Yao Xia is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 28, 1974 in Chongqing, China. Yao Xia (Simplified Chinese Yao Xia / Pinyin Yao Xia), was born 28 January 1974. He is a Chinese football coach.

In recognition of his contributions to Sichuan football, Chengdu Blades, his 18-year-old shirt number has been retired. Yao Xia’s time with Chengdu Blades would continue as he became the team leader and deputy manager shortly afterwards. He then took over as the club’s caretaker manger on December 7,

2012. This was where he also took over club training during the off-season. Yao was asked to take over the management role when Patrick Aussems was fired. His appointment saw the club win two consecutive games against Yanbian Baekdu Tigers F.C. BIT F.C.

Surprisingly, Yao Xia moved from Qingdao Etsong to the start of the 2003 football league season. This was the same team he helped relegate during the 1995 league season. Although he played a significant part in Qingdao’s team, Qingdao were always flirting with relegation and Yao was eventually sent out to Chengdu Wuniu, a second-tier football club. He made a successful transfer back to Sichuan province, and his move would be permanent by the next season. The club was renamed Chengdu Blades. Yao would play a crucial role in the team that was promoted to the top tier after several seasons of improving their results. The club finished runners-up in 2007’s league campaign. Yao, despite his age, would remain a consistent fixture within the team. His experience would help Chengdu become a regular midtable club until the end 2009 league season. However, the club was relegated to second tier after it was discovered that Chengdu Blades had fixed multiple games during their promotion campaign. Yao remained loyal to the club.

Yao Xia began his football career at Sichuan Quanxing. He was part of the team which saw the club transform into a professional unit in the first season of the 1994 Chinese football league season. After the 1995 football league season, Yao Xia would become a prominent player in the fight against Sichuan Quanxing’s relegation. He was able to help the team win on goal difference. Yao was part Sichuan’s most winning team, finishing third in the 1999 top-tier division. He also scored 11 goals, and was third on the goal scoring charts. Sichuan finished third in the 2000 league season. However, Sichuan was involved in a dispute over ownership and Yao Xia left at the end.

Yao Xia made his international debut against Mexico on November 3, 1993 in a 3-0 defeat in a friendly match. Yao Xia would quickly become a Sichuan regular and also play a significant part in China’s 1998 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign. Although he helped China qualify for the 2000 AFC Asian Cup he would be more successful, he was not selected to go to the tournament. His last match against Yugoslavia would be on March 25, 2000, in a friendly defeat of 1-0.

Yao made his comeback in July 2014 after Korean manager Lee Jang-Soo took charge Chengdu Tiancheng who struggled in the bottom of the league.
