Yanto Barker, a former professional racing cyclist from Wales, was born 6 January 1980. Barker came in ninth place in the general classification of the 2005 Tour of Britain and was the Briton with the highest ranking finish.
In November 2013, it was announced that Barker had signed with Team Raleigh for 2014. Barker was named the leader of the 2015 ONE Pro Cycling team after a season with Raleigh. Barker announced in September 2016 that he would be retiring at the conclusion of the season.
Born in Carmarthen and despite starting racing late at the age of 15, joining the Mid-Devon Cycling Club, Barker was successful in the junior ranks (aged 16–18). Having won the Junior British National Road Race Championships, he was selected to ride the Junior Road Race World Championships where he finished 11th.
He lived in Wales as a child but later moved to Devon. He runs his own cycling clothing company called Le Col, which became a co-title sponsor of the Team Wiggins Le Col UCI Continental team for 2019.
In 2007, he retired from professional cycling, returning to Devon to live. He returned to cycling in 2010, riding for the Pendragon Sports / Le Col / Colnago Team. Barker signed for Team UK Youth in 2012.

Barker, who was 19 years old, joined the senior ranks and was chosen to represent Britain in the National U23 team. He was also paid.
