Yakiv Vasilyovich Slomii (Ukrainian Iakiv Vasil’ovich Somolii), born 1 February 1961, is an economist and banker from Ukraine. Since 11 May 2017, when Valeriya Gontareva resigned, he was acting Governor of Ukraine’s National Bank. He was elected Governor of Ukraine by the Ukrainian parliament on 15 March 2018.
Smolii graduated from Lviv University in 1983 with a B.Sc. in mathematics. He studied applied mathematics.
