The Kosovar Albanian, Bajrami was born in Dumosh, SFR Yugoslavia (now Kosovo) in the year 1975. He moved in Switzerland where he started to train in Seido Karate, and later kickboxing.
After going 1-0 in the first quarter of the year , he came back with an unbeaten loss in the final to Stefan Leko at K-1 The Millennium in Osaka on April 23, 2000. Also, an impressive points win over Samir Benazzouz during K-1 Fight Night 2000 which took place in Zurich in June 3rd, 2000. Bajrami was selected to participate for the K-1 Grand Prix Europe 2000 in Zagreb, Croatia on September 1st in 2000. Bajrami was successful in his attempt to move over Belgian pair Peter Bamoshi and Marc de Wit and Marc de Wit, respectively, before being stopped by a brutal high kick from Jorgen Kruth at the end of the. In the wake of the sudden loss of his coach Andy Hug in August 2000 Bajrami moved into the Netherlands to study under Peter Aerts and Rene Rooze at the Chakuriki Gym. When he trained at Chakuriki his karate-based training was changed to include a variety of Muay Thai methods.
2002 was a quiet year for Bajrami as he competed just once under the K-1 banner, albeit taking three fights in one night at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2002 Preliminary Croatia on April 13 in Zagreb. After TKOing Dragan Jovanović at the quarter-final stage, he took a unanimous points victory over Siniša Pulyak in the semis. Going up against fellow Swiss-based karateka Petar Majstorović in the tournament final, Bajrami lost by decision after an extra round was needed to separate the pair.
Bajrami returned to tournament action on May 30, 2003 at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2003 in Basel. He avenged his loss to Jörgen Kruth by taking an extension round split decision over the Swede at the first round but was then eliminated by the eventual tournament winner Jerrel Venetiaan in the semis. He bounced back with a decision win over familiar foe Siniša Pulyak in Croatia on September 12, 2003.
The 1999 season began on May 5 in K-1 Fight Night 1999 in Zurich, Bajrami went up against Carl Bernardo, brother of the legendary Mike Bernardo, and stopped the South African with a kick in the first round. A mere 15 days later, on the other side of Fukuoka, Japan, Bajrami was one of eight fighters fighting to win the tournament K-1 Braves 1999. He beat Sinisa Andrijasevic with a technical knockout in the quarterfinals in which his opponent was not permitted to proceed based on the advice of a doctor. He then took on Mirko Cro Cop in the semi-finals stage. The fight was declared to be a draw following the completion of the three rounds that are required and so an additional round was added in order to determine the winner. After that, Bajrami received the nod by the three judges. When he made it to the finals Bajrami was in a close match in the finals against Lloyd van Dams but took the unanimous decision after another round to take the title and be a part of in 1999 for the K-1 World Grand Prix, the event that brings together the best heavyweights in the world. In the World Championships of K-1 1999 Open Round at Osaka, Japan on October 5 1999 Bajrami experienced his very first bouts with Dutch famous Ernesto Hoost, losing by the unanimous vote.

Xhavit Bajrami (born on October 30 1975) is an ex-kickboxer from Albania-Swiss who was a heavyweight competitor. A Seido Karate instructor as well as an Andy Hug student, Bajrami has a record of undefeated nationally before being recruited by K-1. He won the K-1 Braves ’99 tournament and placed second in two other competitions. He’s also twice-time Muay Thai world champion, winning his ISKA World Super Heavyweight title in 2004 as well as the WKN World Super Heavyweight strap in 2010.
Bajrami transitioned from full contact karate to kickboxing under the tutelage of fellow karateka-turned-kickboxers Andy Hug and Michael Thompson, and amassed an undefeated record fighting domestically before being recruited by the world’s premier kickboxing promotion, K-1 in 1998. In his first appearance as a promoter the Bajrami team entered an eight-man, one-night event on the 6th of May the 6th of May, 1998 at K-1’s Fight Night 1998 in Zurich. He required an extra round to defeat Matteo Minonzie in the quarter-finals and then was removed from the tournament in the semis, after his match against Rob van Esdonk was stopped by a doctor in his first bout. The decision was controversial because Bajrami claimed to have been struck by an unintentional elbow from van Esdonk. He did not return to his feet, causing the doctor to declare Bajrami ineligible to fight. He returned to action within a month after he won an eight-round draw against Kirkwood Walker at K-1 Dream 1998 located in Nagoya, Japan on July 17th in 1998.
On March 3, 2001, he lost another decision to Ernesto Hoost at 2 Hot 2 Handle: Simply the Best in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Then, in another rematch, he bested Samir Benazzouz by decision for the second time at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2001 in Nagoya on July 20, 2001.

Bajrami fought Petar Majstorović for the second time on February 9, 2008 in Switzerland and got his own back on the Croatian, winning the decision after three rounds. He then TKO’d Dániel Török in November of that year in Sursee, Switzerland before finishing American Mike Shepherd with a highlight reel high kick on June 27, 2009 in the same city. He ended the year with a controversial defence of his ISKA world title on November 21, 2009 in Pristina, Kosovo against fellow K-1 veteran Freddy Kemayo. Kemayo was docked a point in the fourth round for a headbutt, and the judges scored the bout a split draw (50-48, 46-47, 48-48) after the final bell.
