Forko was signed by his club, the Vancouver Whitecaps of the USL First Division in 2008, however, a month after his signing with the Whitecaps the club revealed that Forko was moved to Norwegian Premier League side FK Bodo/Glimt. Forko then spent two seasons in the Tippeligaen playing 60 times for the club.
Forko was picked as the 14th pick in the 2nd round in the MLS Supplemental Draft by Real Salt Lake. Forko played 38 times for RSL during their initial two years in Major League Soccer, before being released by the close of the 2007 season.

Born from Liberia, Forko and his family relocated from Liberia to Houston, Texas when he was just three years old. Forko began his college playing career in soccer at the University of South Carolina in 2002. He played one season at the school before moving into University of Connecticut.
