William Matheus da Silva (born 2 April 1990) popularly referred to in the media as William Matheus, is a Brazilian footballer who is a player for Coritiba. He is primarily a left back, but it is also possible to play as an a center back.

The first time in January of 2014, William Matheus signed with Palmeiras to participate in during the 2014 season, the year that marks the centenary celebrations that the team was founded. After only sixteen games, Palmeiras accepted an offer from French club Toulouse to take him on in July 2014.

William Matheus signed a four-year contract with Toulouse on July 29, 2014. His Ligue 1 debut on 9 August 2014, in a 3-2 defeat to Nice. Two seasons later, after two in France the player returned to Brazil with a loan deal with Fluminense. He was released from Toulouse permanently on February 4, 2017, when he signed a contract with Coritiba.

William Matheus came through the youth squad at Figueirense and made it from the club’s initial team the year 2008 as a player in the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A games in the same season.

In 2019, despite being a regular for Coritiba, he was loaned to Guarani for the Campeonato Paulista.
