Gregory was the STS-67’s pilot on the seven-person research mission into astronomy on the Space Shuttle Endeavour. It was launched on the Kennedy Space Center on March 2 1995, and relocating on Edwards AFB on March 18 1995, the crew created a new duration record with a duration of sixteen days fifteen hours, eight minutes and 44 seconds in addition to completing 262 orbits and travelling over 7 million miles. The second mission of the ASTRO telescope’s primary payload included a variety of secondary payloads.

Selected by NASA in January of 1990, Gregory became an astronaut in July of 1991. Gregory’s technical duties comprised: Shuttle Avionics Integration Laboratory (SAIL) Astronaut Office Representative to Landing/Rollout, T-38 Flying Safety NASA Kennedy Space Center Astronaut Support personnel (ASP) Spacecraft communicator (CAPCOM) in charge of mission control astronaut office representative for the operations of proximity and rendezvous and Spacecraft Operations Branch Chief. Gregory was a pilot aboard STS-67 (1995) as well as spent over 400 hours of space. Gregory was discharged as a member of his position in the Air Force and left NASA in the summer of 1999. He is now Vice Director of Business Development at Qwaltec, Inc. in Tempe, Arizona.

Gregory was born in Lockport, New York into an Albanian American family.
