Another season with Scorpio began in 2006 and Bratt’s performances were steadily improving, leading to a first victory in the race at Oulton Park. Bratt also took the podium of Donington Park en route to eighth on the podium in the Championship. Six of seven competitors who placed ahead of Bratt in 2006 dropping from the race, Bratt became a championship contender for the 2007 season. Excellent starts from the championship’s opponents Duncan Tappy and Dean Smith caused Bratt in the sand in the initial races. After securing a double win at Croft in the second round, he followed that up with victories in Oulton Park, and Brands Hatch, but he was eliminated from championship race before the last few races, due to that of the dominant Fortec automobiles of his competitors. Bratt was unopposed in thirdplace, coming just 32 points ahead of Adam Christodoulou. His performance led to him being selected for British Racing Drivers club’s “Rising Star” scheme.

In the off-season, Bratt competed in the Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy, finishing second in the series without winning a race. He also made a return to Formula Renault in the 2008 season, replacing Sho Hanawa at the Silverstone meeting in support of the World Series by Renault.

Bratt moved into the FIA Formula Two Championship in 2010.

After winning his T Car championship, Bratt changed to single-seaters in his 2004 Formula Renault UK Winter Series in conjunction in conjunction with Scorpio Motorsport. Bratt finished 11th in the championship, and missed out in the top ten spots by only one point. The result led to an entire season in 2005, he remained with Scorpio. After a steady start, Bratt recorded a best finishing of 11th twice, before finishing 15th in the championship and third for the Graduate Cup for first-year drivers. He continued to race with Scorpio throughout the Winter Series, finishing ninth with 54 points.

William Bratt (born 13 April 1988 in Oxford) is an Oxford-born British race driver from the UK. He has previously raced at the British Touring Car Championship with Rob Austin Racing.

After three years of Super 1 karting, Bratt entered his first race in the T Cars series for drivers between 14 and 17 years old in 2003. He was 4th in the overall championship during his first season, but only won one event at Snetterton. He was a dominant force in the 2004 season and finished each of the 18 races in the top ten, and winning fourteen of them , and winning the title by 58 points over the runner-up Ruth Senior.

Bratt moved to Spain to compete in the Spanish Formula Three Championship for the 2008 season, competing for former Formula One driver Emilio de Villota’s team. After two top-five finishes on his debut at Jarama, Bratt recorded both his first pole position and podium during the first race at Spa. After a barren run of just seven points in ten races, Bratt ended the season impressively with a pair of second places and a pair of third places at the final two rounds in Barcelona and Jerez, ultimately finishing fifth in the overall championship.
