Davis, who was elevated to senior status on August 1st, 2015. The nomination was approved to the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 17th, 2015, via voice vote. On January 19 in 2016, the Senate was 58-36 in support of confirmation. She was awarded her federal Judicial Commission on February 18 on the 18th of February, 2016.
Wright worked as an attorney clerk to the judge Damon Keith. She was employed at the firm that represented lawyers at Hogan & Hartson, LLP which was located in Washington, D.C. before becoming a part of the United States Attorney’s Office in Minnesota. Wright has been awarded numerous times throughout her career, among them Herra Bradwell’s Award for Excellence in Law from Minnesota Women Lawyers, the Lena O. Smith Achievement Award from the Black Women Lawyers Network in 2004 and in 2004, the B. Warren Hart Award for Public Service by the Saint Paul Jaycees in 2001 as well as The Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans Award in 2000.
