15 August 2011 Fletcher was signed by Accrington Stanley on loan until January 2012. In his Accrington debut, he scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win home against Bradford City. He was back at Burnley on the 21st of October, 2011, after having played 12 times.

Fletcher was a debutant for Burnley during Burnley’s League Cup match against Morecambe on the 24th of August, making his debut as a substitute to Jay Rodriguez. On the 15th of October, 2010, he was transferred to Stockport County on a one-month loan. The first time he played at the club on 16 October 2010 in an 1-0 win against Barnet. This loan extension was granted for the second and third month.
Fletcher was handed his debut professional deal from Burnley at the end of March in 2009, and joined the initial team during the seasons 2009-10. In January of 2010, Fletcher was sent out on loan to League Two club Grimsby Town and made his debut against Cheltenham Town on 16 January 2010 less than one hour after signing his loan. Fletcher scored his first goal as an substitute in a 2-1 loss at Rotherham United on 23 January 2010. He was back at Burnley on February 24, 2010.
