Wade Webber is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 12, 1967 in Renton, United States. Wade Webber (born January 12 1967, in Auburn, Washington) is a retired U.S. soccer defender who played the majority of his time playing for clubs from the Pacific Northwest. But, he also played three seasons in Major League Soccer with the Dallas Burn and Miami Fusion before suffering a life-threatening knee injury. He is currently an assistant coach with Tacoma Defiance.

After the dissolution of the Storm, Webber briefly left professional soccer and took the position of a teacher. He was a teacher in 1993. Webber received a doctorate in teaching at Seattle University. In the meantime, he was also teaching history as well as coaching the soccer team for boys in Sedro Woolley High School.

In 1997, the Dallas Burn selected Webber in the first round (second pick overall) of the Supplemental Draft. That season, he saw time in twenty-two games, scoring two goals. At the end of the season the Burn did not protect Webber in the Expansion Draft and he was selected by the Miami Fusion. Webber went on to play two seasons with the Fusion, but on May 15, 1999, he suffered a career ending knee injury.

In 1989, Webber returned back to professional soccer but this time playing for his team, the Portland Timbers of the renamed Western Soccer League. In the course of Webber was playing for three years at Portland as a player for F.C. Portland as well as Portland Timbers. Portland Timbers, after completing his college eligibility and returning to the Seattle area to join Seattle Storm Seattle Storm for the 1990 season. In 1990, both the Storm as well as the Timbers played in the newly-created American Professional Soccer League (APSL) that was created through the merger of two leagues: the west coast Western Soccer League and the east coast American Soccer League. The Storm had an overall record of 10-10, and was dissolved at the end in the year. Webber was a second-team APSL All Star.

Webber was raised in the Seattle area, where he attended Thomas Jefferson High School from 1983 until 1985. In the three years he was at Jefferson High, Webber was an integral part of three consecutive state soccer championships. After graduation from high school Webber was a student at his first college, the University of Portland where he played in the men’s soccer from 1985 until 1988. The year he was a senior, the Pilots reached the NCAA Final Four only to be defeated by the eventual champion Indiana.

While in the university, Webber played with F.C. Portland in Portland of the Western Soccer Alliance during the off-season of the college. He played in both in the 1987 and 1986 seasons with Portland.

In 1994, he returned to soccer with the Seattle Sounders of the American Professional Soccer League (APSL). This was the first year of the resurrected Sounders and it featured many names from the old North American Soccer League Sounders. Despite being a first year team, the 1994 Sounders went to the APSL semifinals. Then in 1995 and 1996, the Sounders took the title. In 1994, Webber played 17 games, scoring two goals. In 1995, he saw time in 23 games, scoring one goal.
