Vlatko Stefanovski is one of the most popular and richest Jazz Musician who was born on January 24, 1957 in Prilep, North Macedonia. He was born in Prilep on January 24, 1957, he first began with guitar when he was 13 years old. Stefanovski was among the founders of Leb i sol with whom produced 13 albums from 1978 between 1978 and 1991. He is currently singing with the VS Trio, in an Acoustic collaboration with Miroslav Tadic or writing music for theatre and film. The dramatist Goran Stefanovski was his twin brother.

Since the departure of Leb i Sol, Stefanovski has utilized his newfound liberty to work on a multitude of musical endeavors. Since 1998, he’s been on tour and performed Macedonian folk songs only together with musician Miroslav Tadic. In contrast to his earlier works the songs have been played mostly with an the acoustic guitar.

He doesn’t use much in the way of effects but some of his main pedals are the Fulltone Full-Drive Mosfet 2 10th Anniversary, the Dunlop Crybaby, the Boss DD-7, the Boss CH-1, the Boss CS-3 and the Turbo Rat.

In 2012, Tommy Emmanuel, Stochelo Rosenberg and himself have formed a band called Kings of Strings, and have embarked on tour in mid-March.

Stefanovski returned to his ethnic-rock roots from Leb i Sol with his VS Trio. Their debut album released in 1998 garnered a lot of praise from critics as well as helped to define the current Vlatko Stefanovski music. Stefanovski also released several individual albums with his name in that time period. The music on these albums varied between pop and ‘Kula Od Karti’ (Eng: ‘Tower of Cards’) to pure blues on ‘Thunder From The Blue Sky’.
