Vladimir Linderman is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on November 3, 1958 in Riga, Latvia. Vladimir Ilyich Linderman (Russian: Vladimir Il’ich Linderman , Latvian: Vladimirs Lindermans, pseudonym Abel (Abel’); born on the 3rd of November in 1958) is a Latvian and Russian publicist and political dissident of Jewish origin and a part of Russia’s non-registered National Bolshevik Party since 1997. Linderman is a non-citizen of Latvia.

In 2013, Linderman was elected the official leader of a new organization called “Let’s Protect Our Children” which, along with another group known as “Kin” began collecting signatures to call for a referendum on “gay propaganda”. In 2014, he along with a few other pro-Russian activists took part at the Victory Day celebration at the Victory Memorial to Soviet Army in Victory Park, Riga, Latvia with the flags of Donetsk People’s Republic and expressed their solidarity with separatists from Russia.

In 2009, Linderman was named the founder and chief of Latvian politics organization The 13 January Movement. In 2011 He was co-founder of the NGO “Mother Tongue” that initiated the referendum on constitutional reform that failed to pass the creation of Russian an official language in Latvia. On the 16th of July 2012 Linderman transformed the title of his the 13 January Movement to For the Native Language! and officially registered it as an political party. Then he urged members of the party to boycott SEB banka for refusing to create a bank account for the party.

In 1991, Linderman was employed at his position in the Russian editing office for Atmoda newspaper. Atmoda newspaper. In 1998, he was the head for the Latvian branch of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP). Since 2001, Linderman served as a participant in the Central Committee of the NBP. In November 22, 2002, he travelled to Saratov to be a part of the trial of NBP founding member Eduard Limonov as a defence witness. On the 24th of September of 2003 Linderman was detained by the Federal Security Service (FSS) in Moscow and was detained for nearly 19 hours in Lefortovo Prison. Latvia demanded Russia to extradite him however, Russia did not agree, citing fears of persecution from the political sphere. The 21st of June, 2006 Linderman was again detained but in the course of his journey to Latvia Linderman was able to escape and hid for another two years.

In 2008, Linderman was found and was then extradited on March 20 to Latvia and was charged with storing explosives as well as calling for the overthrow of the system of government and plotting to assassinate President of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga. On the 6th of October, the 6th of October, 2008 Linderman got a 1-year prison sentence that was suspended for 12 months for possession of a TNT block that contained the detonator. However, he was released on the grounds of inciting a coup against the government due the lack of evidence. On the 26th of October in 2008, he attempted to travel into Estonia from Finland and was arrested in Tallinn Port. Tallinn Port, where Linderman was informed that he would be barred from entering the country and was sent returned to Finland.

On May 8, 2018, Linderman was arrested by the Security Police for a suspected incitement of national, ethnic and racial hatred, performing activities aimed against Latvia’s independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, state power and government structure, as well as organizing mass riots in a March 31 speech he gave at the “All-Latvian Parents Gathering” organized by the Latvian Russian Union. On May 10 Linderman was kept in custody, but finally was released on May 22.
