In the 2007 Ukrainian Parliamentary elections in 2007 Danilov was first elected to the parliament under the party list from Bloc Yulia Tymoshenko. In 2012, he was elected to parliament on the list of party members for “Fatherland” (number 57 on the list). At the 2014 Ukrainian elections for the parliamentary seat, Danilov was not re-elected to the parliament because he was placed 21st on the list of candidates for Batkivshchina The party was able to win 17 of the seats listed on their electoral lists as well as two seats in the constituency.
