Vincenzo Sarno (born 11 March 1988) is an Italian professional footballer who is a striker or midfielder attacking in the club Triestina in a loan deal from Catania.
In January of 2011, Sarno was back in Serie B, signing a contract with Reggina. In his debut season at Reggina He played in four games, and an appearance as a substitute in the second part of the promotion playoffs against Novara. He was transferred at the Virtus Lanciano in January 2012 having failed to make it into his first squad at Reggina in the first season. At Lanciano the team played 11 games without scoring and scored a crucial goal during the second game of promotion tournaments against Siracusa which resulted with a 3-2 aggregate victory for his team. Then he scored a second goal for Lanciano during the second game of playoffs finals Trapani and helped his team to win a historic promotion into Serie B.
After being released for free by Virtus Entella at the end of the 2013–14 season, Sarno agreed a two-year deal with Lega Pro club Foggia on 5 September
- On 5 December Sarno scored two goals in the injury time of the Apulian derby Foggia-Lecce, a classic match evoking the golden years of Serie A, writing a memorable page in the history of his team. The match ended 2-0.
He joined Padova during the winter transfer window of the 2017–2018 season. On his first official appearance for the club, he helped his new team win the local derby against Vicenza thanks to a long range strike badly handled by opposing goalkeeper Marco Valentini and tapped in by teammate Marco Guidone.
After two sporadic first squad appearances for Brescia and then he was let go before the end of the season. He then was a part of Serie C1 club Potenza later in October 2008. In July 2009, following an entire season at Potenza after which he left the club to sign up with Pro Patria in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione. In Pro Patria, Sarno finally was able to establish himself as a key player, despite the club’s promotion into the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione league towards the end of the season. However, after agreeing to stay for another season Sarno was dismissed at the request of Pro Patria in January 2011 when the club was unable to pay his salary due to financial difficulties.

Sarno was born in Naples’ Secondigliano neighborhood in Naples, Sarno became nationally famous at the age of 11 when his signing to Torino for a record amount in the region of 120 million lire earning him massive television coverage, and the nickname “little Maradona” due to his diminutive stature, paired with an impressive technique. His time with Torino however only lasted just a few months as Sarno returned to the team of his former club from October 2002 after which he was recruited and was signed by Roma as well as being was included in Roma’s Giovanissimi Nazionali youth team.
In October 2005, he joined Serie C1 club Sangiovannese, following the decision of Roma to release him on a free basis and he made his debut in the professional league the following month, taking part in the last few minutes of a game in the league in the match against Sassari Torres. Sarno was unable to secure an opening in the first team during the 2006-07 season following He was then offered the loan offer from another team from the Serie C1 competition, Giulianova, in February 2007. However, even with his impressive appearances playing for Giulianova, Sarno played only five games during the initial phase of the season returning to Sangiovannese before leaving the club through mutual agreement in December 2007 and signed an invitation from Serie B side Brescia within a month.
Sarno moved back at Reggina for the 2012–13 season, being re-included in the first team for the new season in the Serie B league. He made a total 26 appearances during that season, 11 of them as a substitute, and was released by the end of the season. In September 2013 he signed a contract for Virtus Entella, with whom he won the 2013–14 Lega Pro Prima Divisione title and promotion to Serie B.
