Viktor Petrovich Yeliseyev (Russian: Viktor Petrovich Eliseev , born on June 9th 1950) is a Russian general conductor of orchestras and a music instructor. He is also the head of the Ministry of the Interior Ensemble and is the leader of one of two Russian Red Army Choirs.
Yeliseyev is a member of the Ministry of the Interior Ensemble since its inception around 1973. He has held a variety of positions. He began his career as a choirmaster before becoming the director of the choir and head in 1977. In 1985, he became the leader of the group and, in 1995, the director of the MVD Cultural Center. In 1998, he was appointed a professor at Moscow Conservatory. Moscow Conservatory.
Yeliseyev is a People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1988) and a recipient of the Russian Federation Presidential Certificate of Honor.
