As a youngster, Stone trained as a classical musician at Wells Cathedral School and in 1997 she was appointed a flautist in the National Children’s Orchestra. From 1999 to 2001 she was a part of the National Youth Music Theatre, participating in various shows. The next stage of her training included acting and music in Rose Bruford College and then as a postgraduate student in the Royal Academy of Music. In 2013, Vikki was granted an Foundation Fellowship from Wells Cathedral School and in the year 2015 she was appointed an associate to the Royal Academy Of Music (ARAM).
In August of 2011 Stone presented her Edinburgh debut show, Big Neon Letters, and received a fawning review. Kate Copstick giving four stars in The Scotsman wrote “really very excellent stand-up comedy, and she packs quite an impressive punch…cleverly constructed with great one-liners, clever little callsbacks that are woven into not only the conversation, but into the songs as well. It’s a woman to keep an eye on I think. The big neon letters can’t be too far from her”. Big Neon Letters transferred for the stage in the London’s Soho Theatre.
A year later, her second show “Hot Mess” sold out for the entirety of the festival, with extra shows added due to demand, again receiving positive reviews. In 2013, this show also transferred to Soho Theatre.
