Post-graduate studies finished with Prof. Levko Kolodub. 1990-1998 – lecturer in department of composition from 2000 to 2005 – in the Music Information Technologies Department of the Kiev Conservatory. Since 2005, she’s been a composer on the freelance. 2014 and 2015 Jury member for the International Composers Competition “Sacrarium” (Italy)
In 2006 Victoria Poleva was composer-in-residence at the Menhir Chamber Music Festival (Swiss, Graubunden).
In 2011 Victoria Polevá was invited by Gidon Kremer as composer-in-residence at the XXX Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival (Austria).
In 2012 a butoh dancer Tadashi Endo did premiere of her ballet “Gagaku”.

Victoria Vita Poleva (also spelled: Polevaya; Ukrainian: Viktoriia Pol’ova; Russian: Viktoriia Polevaia ; born on the 11th of September 1962) is a Ukrainian composer from Ukraine.
The genres she uses in her compositions include symphonic, chamber, choral music. Early works by Victoria Poleva were related to the avant-garde aesthetics as well as polystylistics (ballet “Gagaku”, “Transform” for symphony orchestra “Anthem” for chamber orchestra, “Epiphany” for chamber ensemble and cantatas “Horace’s ode”, “Gentle light”). Since the end of the 1990s, her music was categorized in stylistic terms as “sacred minimalism” (A. Part, P. Vasks, J. Tavener, H. Gorecki). A significant period in Victoria Poleva’s work as a composer is a period of intense study and the incorporation of divine texts in her music.
In 2010, among such composers as Giya Kancheli, Valentin Silvestrov, Leonid Desyatnikov, Aleksander Raskatov, Alexander Wustin, Victor Kissine and Georgs Pelecis, Victoria Polevá has taken part in Gidon Kremer’s international project «The Art of Instrumentation», devoted to Johann Sebastian Bach and Glenn Gould.
