She did not win her seat on the list in the election in 2011. She ran for the Monmouth assembly seat in this year’s National Assembly for Wales election as well as the same seat during the 2017 General Election, being unsuccessful in both instances.
In May of 2010 the former Assembly Representative in South Wales East, Mike German, her husband was appointed in the House of Lords as a “working peer” in the Dissolution Honours list. He was succeeded by her as an AM. she was the first candidate for the list of regional parties in 2007.
