Wruble, a prominent lawyer chosen to the presidency by Jimmy Carter as the first director of the Office of Government Ethics. The school she attended was Sidwell Friends High School. She graduated with the degree of BA (cum louise) at Williams College, studying women’s issues, psychology, as well as fiction writing. She also earned master’s degrees in social research at the psychology department of The New School and in interactive media from NYU.

In October of 2017, Wruble led the leaders of the decentralized , nationwide Women’s Marches to form a new organization called March On. Additionally, they created the The March On Fight Back PAC. March On follows the bottom-up method of coordinating actions at the state, federal as well as local levels, by bringing together different women’s groups across the country to collaborate.
