Tyji Donrapheal Armstrong (born October 3 1970) is an ex- professional American football tight-end from the National Football League for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys as well as the St. Louis Rams. He was also a part of the Chicago Enforcers in the XFL league. He played in the NCAA football tournament on The University of Mississippi.

On the 19th of July 1998, he got accepted by the St. Louis Rams as an agent on the free market. He was a backup for 12 games, recording 6 receptions and 54 yards. He was able to retire at the end of the season due to the fact that He believed that he should start ahead of the rookie tight end Ernie Conwell.

In 2001, he signed with the Chicago Enforcers of the XFL league and was coached under Ron Meyer. He posted 6 receptions for 49 yards and played with the team until the league folded at the end of its debut season.

Armstrong was chosen to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round (79th overall) of the 1992 NFL Draft. In his rookie year Armstrong started seven games. Despite being mostly employed as a blocking tightener however, he was also a part on one of the most long passing games in the franchise’s history which was an 81-yard touchdown in the game against the Los Angeles Rams on December 6. Between 1992 and 1993,, he was a backup for Ron Hall, and from 1994 until 1995, he was a backup in 1994 to Jackie Harris. He was cut on the 25th of August in 1996.
