The team was last in the contest. In the run-up to the Paralympics her team was ranked 8th globally. It was reported that the Australian Paralympic Committee had chosen to improve her performance as a goalballer in hopes that she may be able of qualifying for and win a medal in the 2016 Summer Paralympics. Taylor presented the Team’s Paralympic uniform on May 1, 2012 in the Sydney Overseas Passenger Terminal on the second day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia Spring/Summer 2012/13. The 2012 Summer Paralympics competition the Belles were playing with Japan, Canada, the United States and Sweden. They lost every single game and didn’t make it in the last four games.

Taylor made her debut for the national team in the year 2010 during the World Championships in Britain. This marked the first occasion that the national team played for three years. The team placed sixth in the 2010 IBSA Goalball World Cup, which was where she scored her first international goal during a match with players from the Spain ladies’ national soccer team. She was a participant at the 2011 IBSA Africa Oceania Goalball Regional Champions which were held in Turkey and served as an Paralympic qualifier tournament. In her first match with New Zealand, her team defeated New Zealand 11-4 after leading 7-1 at half-time break. Her goal was one during the team’s win. Australia won their final game in the match against New Zealand by a score of 6-1. Taylor was a player against the New Zealand women’s national goalball team, with Taylor scoring two goals during the game.

Tyan “Little Girl” Taylor (born 23 March 1990) is an Australian goalball winger. He has been classified as a level B3 athlete. In 2009, only one month of playing the sport, Taylor was named to the New South Wales team. She was named to the team for 2011 and has participated at the 2010 World Championships, 2011 IBSA Goalball World Cup and the 2011 IBSA Africa Oceania Goalball Regional Champions. She has been chosen to play for Australia in the 2016 Summer Paralympics in goalball.

When Taylor was ten and had not yet started the sport her grandmother had a message for her following a viewing of the game Taylor could play. The Belles originally failed to qualify for the 2016 Paralympics after finishing third at the IBSA Goalball Asia Pacific Championships in Hangzhou, China. They were displaced to allow for an African team, Algeria as it turned out, to compete in goalball for the first time. But following the re- allocation of Russia’s spot, the Belles found themselves getting a last minute invite to Rio.They entered the tournament ranked ninth in the world. They performed better this time, fighting Uzbekistan to a draw, but they needed a win or draw in their final game against Canada to progress to the quarter finals, but lost 6–0, ending their second Paralympic campaign.
