Txutxi is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 7, 1973 in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. Jesus Emilio Diez de Mier (born 7 January 1973) is also popularly known as Txutxi is a Spanish retired footballer who was a central defender.

Txutxi first played at the age of La Liga courtesy of manager Dragoslav Stepanovic, just three years after his first match in competition which was a draw at home against RCD Espanol in which he continued to play the entire match. After departing from the Basques Txutxi returned to his football career at the second level and was associated with UE Lleida and CD Badajoz as team captains, before becoming UE Lleida’s captain in CD Badajoz.

In February 2009, Txutxi along with the former players Carlos de la Vega and Predrag Stankovic, were arrested in the course of an anti-drug investigation in Madrid. Both the player as well as Stankovic were sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment in 2014. (confirmation was in the year 2015) In addition, five others were sentenced to sentences ranging from four to twelve years and de la Vega being one of two individuals acquitted for smuggling in 950 kg worth of cocaine into Mexico.
