Trygve Johannessen (born 11 January 1953) is an Norwegian professional footballer who played forward. Most famously, he is known for his time with Viking who took home four league titles as well as an award between 1974 between 1974 and 1982. He scored 181 goals over 312 matches with Viking (these figures include friendly matches).
He left Vidar in 1983 and went back to Vidar for another time, and spent two seasons. Through his three seasons at Vidar, Johannessen played 109 games and scored scores of 124 scores (including friendly matches). Over the course of a season the striker scored 56 goals and assisted Vidar in his climb up to Second Division. He was promoted to the Second Division in 1982. made his return to Viking. He was awarded his fifth championship at the club, and along with Ham-Kam’s Tor Arnie Granerud, he was the top scorer with 11 goals.

Johannessen was a frequent youth player after his move from Florvag and then Viking at the end of summer 1974. Viking paid less than 40,000 euros for the player at the time when money was considered to be unfashionable for Norwegian football. Johannessen performed well and held his spot in the team and was for a long time the top scorer for Viking. He was the top goal-scorer during the division’s first season, scoring seventeen goals scored in the year 1977, and 11 goals in 1982.
Johannessen earned five caps and Seven youth caps. He made his debut for the international team with the Soviet Union on 24 September 1975. The other caps he played were Olympic qualifying matches in 1979.
