Troy Joseph Bergeron (born December 3 1983) is an ex- American football player and wide receiver. Bergeron was signed by Columbus Wardogs as a street free agent in 2004. He played redshirted his first year at the college game at Middle Tennessee State, but did not play in his team, the Blue Raiders.
Bergeron was a part of his 2006 AFL season training for National Football League and was accepted to Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted rookie free agent. The Falcons invited him to training camp, and he was released after the final game of the preseason.
In 2008, Bergeron recorded 91 receptions for 1,247 yards and 24 touchdowns, he also rushed the ball seven times for 62 yards. He also recorded seven tackles on the season. He also added five kick returns for 71 yards.
Bergeron was waived during final cuts on September 5, 2009 and immediately re- signed to the practice squad. He was then promoted to the active roster on November 14. Bergeron was released November 16 and re-signed to the practice squad on November 18. Ten days later, he was promoted to the 53-man roster again. On December 2, he returned to the practice squad. Due to the release of running back Verron Haynes, Bergeron was promoted to the active roster on December 5. Bergeron was waived again by the Falcons on December 7 and added to back to the practice squad on December 9. The Falcons promoted Bergeron to the active roster again on December 15 when wide receiver Brian Finneran was placed on injured reserve.
As of 2005, Bergeron joined The Georgia Force. In his rookie year Bergeron was a part of all 16 games and scored 105 receptions , totalling 1372 yards as well as 31 scores in offense. He also had 57 kickoff returns with a total of 1,058 yards. The 2005 AFL Rookie of the Year and was also selected as a member of the AFL All-Rookie Team. Along with his rookie colleague Derek Lee, the duo finished their season as the leading receiving touchdown pair within the AFL with 64 total scores (Bergeron 31, and Lee 33).

Bergeron played three years as a regular in the football team at Shaw High School and helped Shaw High School to win the State Championship in 2000. The school named him the Columbus Ledger and Enquirer’s offensive player Of The Year. He was a wide receiver, and scored 25 receptions, 7 touchdowns and 444 yards in his senior year. He also made one interception while playing in a limited capacity as a cornerback. He was unable to play in three games during his senior season due to surgery to treat compartmental syndrome on his leg.
In 2004 Bergeron was af2 of the Columbus Wardogs and recorded 77 receptions for 1,220 yards as well as 26 touchdowns even though he was not in the team’s initial four games. He was the third Wardog player to accumulate 1,000 yards in receiving. He set a single game franchise record of 212 yards receiving against Macon. The following week after, he put on another record-breaking game and record-setting three team records in a single game with 14 receptions, the distance of 216 yards and six touchdowns against Louisville. He was named twice the offensive player of the Week.
In 2007, Bergeron re-joined the Georgia Force. For the season he played in all 16 games and recorded a career highs in receptions (132), receiving yards (1,736), touchdowns (41), rushing attempts (10) and rushing yards (81), while earning Second team All-Arena honors. He and teammate Wide receiver Chris Jackson became the first receiving tandem in AFL history to record at least 130 catches, 1,700 receiving yards and 40 touchdowns each.
