Tommy Gaynor is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 29, 1963 in Limerick, Ireland. Tommy Gaynor (born 29 January 1963 in Limerick) was a popular Irish soccer player in the 1980s and 1990s.
Then he returned to his home country and despite playing for Shelbourne in a friendly match against Tottenham Hotspur he signed for Cork City in August 1993 initially on a month loan. The deal was extended to a permanent one, but Gaynor had a difficult relationship with the Bishopstown team based in Bishopstown. In December 1994, he was unable to attend an official game.
Gaynor transferred to Bohemians in February 1997 and again scored on his debut.
He was appointed Kilkenny City manager on 11 July 2007.
In the City Ground he helped Forest achieve their Football League Cup and Full Members Cup in 1989, and also came 3rd on the Football League First Division. But he was omitted out of the squad to play in the League Cup final of 1990 in which Forest kept their trophy.

His League of Ireland debut on 13 September 1981, for Limerick United before signing for Shamrock Rovers in 1982. He scored two goals in three appearances for Shamrock Rovers at the UEFA Cup. He left to join Dundalk during the year 1983. He returned in Limerick and was the joint with the top scorers in 1984-85, and the top scorer from 1985 to 1986.
He joined Nottingham Forest in 1987 spending 5 years there prior to joining Millwall in 1992.
He signed for Athlone Town in October 1995 and scored twice on his debut. He was Athlone’s top scorer that season with 12 league goals. Rejoined Cork in September 1996 but was back playing for Athlone in early 1997.
