Thomas Sidney Sims (born April 18th 1967) is an ex- American football defensive player who played for four years in the National Football League (NFL) with the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts. Sims was selected to the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 1990 NFL Draft. He began his college football career with the Broncos of Western Michigan University before transferring to Pittsburgh Panthers. Pittsburgh Panthers of the University of Pittsburgh. Sims had been made a signing by the Minnesota Vikings on June 2 the 2nd of June, 1995. Sims got released from the Vikings on August 28, 1995.

He coached the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky University from 1997 to 1999, the Eagles of Eastern Michigan University in 2000, the Golden Gophers of the University of Minnesota from 2001 to 2004, the Fighting Illini of the University of Illinois from 2005 to 2008, the Jayhawks of the University of Kansas in 2009, the Penguins of Youngstown State University from 2010 to 2014, and the Pittsburgh Panthers from 2015 to 2016.
Sims was selected in Sims was drafted by Kansas City Chiefs in the sixth round, and was selected with the 152nd pick from the 1989 NFL Draft. In the early part of September 1990, prior to the beginning for the normal season Sims was put on injured reserve because of the injury to his ankle. Sims did not play in any game in the year 1990. He was part of 14 games with the Chiefs in 1991, and had 6 tackles in all. He joined the Chiefs in July 1992. He was in the team for 12 matches in the year 1992, registering the total of 12 tackles as well as 3.0 Fumble recoveries and 1 sack. He was let go from the Chiefs on September 4, 1993.
