Tom Briggs (born May 12 1970) is an ex- Arena Football League defensive lineman. He was initially signed to the Birmingham Barracudas of the Canadian Football League. He played in the NCAA football tournament at West Virginia.

in 2000 Briggs was a part of Portland when they were renamed The Oklahoma Wranglers. He ended the season with 16 tackles and four sacks, two recoveries of fumbles as well as an attempted fumble. The following season, his final one in Oklahoma, Briggs finished with nine tackles, five sacks, and an attempted fumble. While playing for the Wranglers, Briggs earned Second Team All-Arena awards in 2000. He also was selected in The 2001 All-Ironman Team.

In 2004, Briggs returned to the Oklahoma franchise as they became the Austin Wranglers. In his debut season in Austin, Briggs set the franchise record of 8.5 sacks in a season, along with recording 21 tackles and two fumble recoveries. That season, he was named to the First-team All-Arena squad. In 2005, Briggs recorded 25 tackles, and in his final season he totaled only 5 tackles with a forced fumble.

In 2007, Briggs joined the Tampa Bay Storm. Despite playing half of the season with a broken hand, Briggs recorded 28.5 tackles, five sacks, and four forced fumbles.

The year 1997 saw Briggs was released from the CFL to join his new team in the Arena Football League and the Portland Forest Dragons. The following season, he recorded only eight tackles prior to moving into the Anaheim Piranhas to end the season. In 1998, Briggs rejoined the Forest Dragons and concluded the year with 11 tackles, 3 sacks, a forced fumble and two covers. In Brigg’s final year in Portland 1999, he concluded his year with 12 tackles and two fumble recovery as well as an interception and two forced fumbles.
