Thomas Paul Richard “Tom” Bloxham MBE (born 20 December 1963) is a British property developer, the founder of the urban renewal development business Urban Splash and member of the jury for The RIBA’s Stirling Prize in 2007. Bloxham was inaugurated as the Chancellor during a ceremony held in Manchester’s Whitworth Hall on December 3rd 2008. The ceremony also saw at the same time, Sir Bernard Lovell, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Edward Gregson and Eddie Davies received honorary degrees.

Bloxham was born in Hampshire and attended Tiffin School, which he left in 1983, to go to Manchester to pursue a degree in Politics & Modern History at the Victoria University of Manchester. In his time at the university, Bloxham opened an in-store shop for posters and music at Afflecks Palace and sold fire extinguishers from door to door. He attempted to boost sales by showing how to use them by setting his bag on fire, then extinguishing the flame.
The Honorary Fellow is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and in 1999, he received an MBE.
