Wade was selected during the 2nd round of 2000 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins where he played for four seasons. He started in the regular season with 63 games in addition to three games in the playoffs. Wade started every game in his rookie season from his right-hand tackle spot, clearing his way to Lamar Smith to break the 1,000-yard mark and also helping limit the opponent to just 28 sacks.
