Summer of ’69 is Strasser’s autobiographical memoir about his life in his time in Woodstock and the conflict in Vietnam and the first person to set his foot in space. It was written by teenagers and adults. It examines the society, drug usage, sexual norms and popular music from the 1960s and also his personal issues with the draft and the death of his family members caused by an unresolved tragedy years prior to.
