Swedish UEFA Women’s Champions League hopefuls Tyreso FF signed Korpela to an agreement on December 13, 2013. Korpela was a part of Carola Soberg to earn an opening spot and was also a substitute in Tyreso’s loss to Wolfsburg at the 2014 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final. Tyreso had a financial meltdown in 2014, and pulled out of in the 2013 Damallsvenskan season, removing all their achievements and the players were made free agents.
In June 2013, Korpela was included as a member of national coach Andree J. Jeglertz’s Finland team to play in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2013. After Finland’s initial two games at this tournament, Korpela was substituted by long-time rival Minna Meriluoto to play in the final game of the group which ended in a draw against Denmark.

Korpela made up the Finland team at the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Championship. Korpela had her first Finland women’s national soccer squad debut on March 7, 2007 against Sweden in the Algarve Cup. In the midst that she was a part of UEFA Women’s Euro 2009, held by Finland, Korpela was the primary goalkeeper.
Korpela was the first player to make her debut for Finland’s national side in 2007 when she made her debut for Finland’s national team. She represented Finland in her first UEFA Women’s Championships in 2009 and 2013.
Korpela signed a two-year contract with German Frauen-Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich in June 2014. On 18 February 2016, she extended her contract until 2018. At their request and in agreement of the association their contract was dissolved at the end of 2017; She left FC Bayern Munich after just three and a half years. It was duly approved before the last round game on 17 December 2017 before the home game against 1. FFC Frankfurt.
